WARC credits FCB and TBWA's ad campaigns amongst World top 100
WARC creative 100 has ranked Indian campaigns 'Sindoor Khela' and 'Blink to Speak' as the most creatively acclaimed ones of 2018-19
Two Indian ad agencies have been ranked among the top-100 of the WARC creative rankings, the successor of the Gunn Report that was released on Monday.
The rankings feature awards given to ad campaigns, agencies, networks, holding companies, brands and advertisers, based on the analysis of the results of the most important global and regional creative award shows in the world.
From India, FCB Ulka has ranked 18th on the list with 128.9 points and the other ad agency that has made it on the list is TBWA, ranking 42nd with 74.2 points.
In terms of ad campaigns, ‘No-conditions Apply’, created by FCB Ulka for Times of India, has been ranked ninth on the list of creative ad campaigns of 2018-19. Rohit Ohri, Group Chairman, CEO, FCB India said: “This is the journey we embarked on three years ago, when we took on the creative transformation of FCB Ulka. As an agency, we are delighted that in a short span we have been awarded the top-most creative agency from India. We are really happy to be listed in the WARC report.”
While the ad campaign has been credited as the most awarded one of 2018-2019, it has also brought about a change in the Times of India brand. “This campaign has also worked for the business side of the brand. It has changed the fortunes of Times of India in West Bengal and has made Calcutta Times the leading English language newspaper. That has been the highlight above all,” said Ohri.
The other campaign that has been listed from India is ‘Blink to Speak’ by TBWA for Asha Ek Hope Foundation. “We are delighted. The idea of the campaign demonstrates the power of creativity in our industry to solve real-life problems,” said Govind Pandey, CEO, TBWA.
Globally, BBDO Worldwide is in the lead with an impressive ranking of 13 and 12 under the Gunn Report. Speaking of brands, the Burger King brand is in the lead, whereas Nike has dropped from the first place to the second on the top-100 brands list.
These rankings stand as a benchmark for marketers to compare their performance with their competitors. For more updates, be socially connected with us on
