Social Quotient invites advertising professionals to mentor underprivileged children
The program is in partnership with the United Nations, Teach For India and Tata Institute of Social Sciences
Social enterprise - Social Quotient’s program called The Green Batti Project has invited advertising professionals to mentor an underprivileged child. The idea is to enable a transfer of life skills, social skills, creative expression and provide essential exposure to technology.
The program is in partnership with the United Nations, Teach For India and Tata Institute of Social Sciences.
“Cycle 1 commenced in October 2014 with 500 mentor-mentee pairs across 36 partner schools in Mumbai. There was a significant improvement in confidence levels, school attendance, peer relationships and general knowledge,” states Samyak Chakrabarty, Managing Director, Social Quotient.
The program is now targeting 1000 mentor-mentee pairs across 50 Low income schools in Mumbai.
