The Home of Classics collection pays tribute to five decades of adidas’ iconic white leather sneakers from the past, re-imagined for today

adidas Originals, the sportswear brand for the streets launches the ‘Home Of Classics’ campaign that pays tribute to some of the brand’s most foundational silhouettes. Bringing together four franchises, both archival and contemporary into a single collection, Home Of Classics collection features the iconic legends: Stan Smith, Superstar, Continental-80 and one new entrant in the family – Supercourt!  

Ranveer Singh as the India Brand Ambassador will lead the Home Of Classics campaign, shot by celebrity and fashion photographer Errikos Andreou. True to the campaign narrative ‘Made With Care, Worn Without’, the visuals capture Ranveer Singh in effortless, carefree movements on how these iconic shoes, built with unrivaled expertise are made a classic with the wearers’ experience. The campaign visuals on key adidas Originals doors and the local website sports the Supercourt, Superstar, Stan Smith and Continental 80. 

From falling in love with the brand to becoming an emerging markets ambassador alongside Mo Salah, Ranveer Singh truly embodies the spirit of adidas Originals! 

Reminiscing the first pair of classics that he ever owned, Ranveer Singh shares his obsession over the sneakers during his university years in the United States. “I walked to a store and among all the shoes, my eyes fell on this one white beauty with the trefoil that stood out from the rest; it was the Superstar! Then on started my romance with adidas Originals. Though adidas leather kicks are meant to be worn out, I still remember the amount of care I used to take of my Superstar and spend hours cleaning it up. Flaunting the sparkling white kicks in front of my friends and peers, and envy in their eyes was just priceless.” 

Speaking about the new collection, Ranveer added, “Always been a fan of these timeless sneakers all my life, and with the launch of the Supercourt, I get to further extend my classics collection. I can’t wait to make a statement in these new icons!”

The collection was launched globally on October 17. It is now available in India across adidas Originals stores and on shop.adidas.co.in
