McCann and MullenLowe Singapore merge; Paul Soon to be CEO

Gonzalo Olivera to take over as President and lead creative, strategy, delivery and operations

McCann and MullenLowe Singapore are set to integrate under a unified leadership structure, creating a consolidated creative entity for the market, in the wake of the Omnicom–IPG mega-merger, global media networks have reported.

Paul Soon, currently CEO of MullenLowe Singapore, will lead the merged operation as CEO of McCann Singapore.

Joining him in the new structure will be Gonzalo Olivera, who steps into the role of President from 1 January. Olivera will lead creative, strategy, delivery and operations.

As per an AdWeek report, while globally MullenLowe is joining TBWA, Singapore stands out as a strategic deviation.

Sean Donovan, President, Omnicom Advertising Asia, has been quoted as saying that the Singapore market offered “a more natural fit” between McCann and MullenLowe based on their size, complementary strengths, and long-standing collaborative history.
