- Nick Sykes, the global CEO of FutureBrand, has left the company after 15 years, along with the entire global executive leadership team.
- The departures include key figures such as Gianni Tozzi, Jon Tipple, Katy Nunn, Lauren Maynard, and Louise Nelson, with all exits occurring last week.
- FutureBrand is being restructured, moving out of McCann Worldgroup's central global structure, with teams now reporting directly to local McCann offices.
- These changes come in the context of the impending merger between Omnicom and Interpublic Group, with a new global structure for merged media operations expected to be announced soon.
FutureBrand’s global chief executive Nick Sykes has exited the company after a 15-year tenure, alongside its entire global executive leadership team, as McCann restructures the strategy and design agency’s reporting lines, international news networks have reported.
The exits include several senior leaders: Gianni Tozzi, Global Chief Creative Officer; Jon Tipple, Global Chief Strategy Officer; Katy Nunn, People and Culture Director; Lauren Maynard, Global Chief Growth Officer; and Louise Nelson, Executive Assistant. Except for Tozzi, who worked from Milan, the rest of the leadership team was based in London. All of them left the company last week.
As part of the organisational changes, FutureBrand has been taken out of McCann Worldgroup’s central global structure. Teams will now report directly to McCann’s local offices, with the London unit shifting under McCann UK.
The development follows the soon-to-be-finalised Omnicom-Interpublic merger. The deal is expected to go through imminently.
e4m reported last week that the global structure for the merged media operations of IPG-Omnicom Group is expected to be announced soon.
