Adman Piyush Pandey passed away on October 23, 2025, at the age of 70. A towering figure in Indian advertising, Pandey is celebrated for infusing the industry with a distinctly Indian voice, steering it away from its earlier dependence on Western ideas and aesthetics.
His passing has left the advertising fraternity deeply saddened, as colleagues and admirers across the industry pay tribute to his immense legacy. Among them, Anamika Sirohi of Amway India Enterprises Pvt. Ltd. shared a throwback picture and penned a heartfelt note in his memory.

Her post read:
Jo bhi main kehna chahun, barbad karein alfaaz mere.
2025 is taking away so many that made the world a beautiful place.
When my father left earlier this summer, people mentioned he was still young. Early seventies.
Piyush Pandey was 70 too.
But umr lambi nahin, badi honi chahiye.
And I can’t think of a taller legend than Piyush.
Rest well sir, you earned it. Om Shanti.
