Goafest 2020 to be postponed amid growing Coronavirus concerns

The event which was scheduled to take place from April 2-4 this year has reportedly been postponed due to several international speakers cancelling their speaking engagements

Amid growing concern surrounding the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) epidemic, Goafest, the annual advertising event hosted by the Advertising Agencies Association of India and The Advertising Club has reportedly been postponed infinitely. Goafest was scheduled to take place from April 2-4, 2020.

According to reports, the event which hosts eminent international and Indian speakers from the advertising, marketing and entertainment industries,  has been postponed after several international speakers dropped out from speaking at the event.  

The highly contagious Coronavirus has already claimed the lives of nearly 3000 people as it continues to spread across the globe, therefore pushing countries to restrict entry into their borders. Cases of the virus in India have reportedly risen to 28 as of March 4th.
