Dabur Q3 ad spends down 7.9% year on year

Dabur’s advertisement and publicity expenditure stood at Rs 226 crore in the December quarter, compared to Rs 244 crore last year

Dabur India Limited, a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) major, advertising expenditure and publicity declined by 7.9 percent in the third quarter of FY2025, according to its quarterly results announced Thursday. 

Dabur’s ad spending remained at Rs 226 crore in the December quarter, down from Rs 244 crore in the same period last year. Notably, this marks the second consecutive quarter of subdued ad spend for Dabur, following a similarly modest outlay of Rs 225 crore in the Q2 of 2025, the festive season/ 

The company recorded a nearly 2 per cent rise in its consolidated net profits for the third quarter to Rs 516 crore, compared to Rs 506 crore year-on-year.

The FMCG firm's revenue from operations increased 3 per cent to Rs 3,355 crore in the October to December quarter of the financial year 2024-25, compared to Rs 3,255 in the same quarter a year ago.

Total expenses for the company rose 4 per cent to Rs 2,836 crore in the third quarter, compared year-on-year with Rs 2,721 crore in the same quarter the previous fiscal year. 

According to financial statements, the company's revenues from the Consumer Care Business segment rose 4 per cent to Rs 2,850 crore, compared to Rs 2,742 crore a year ago.

However, the company's Food Business segment revenues dropped nearly 3 per cent to Rs 430 crore, compared to Rs 442 crore in the same quarter the previous financial year.
