Countdown for IMPACT Top 50 Most Influential Women begins

The much awaited IMPACT Top 50 Most Influential Women for 2014 list is all set to be unveiled on March 19, 2014 in Mumbai at a glittering evening hosted by Colors.
The eclectic Jury, comprising industry leaders, is led by Sam Balsara, Chairman and MD, Madison World. The other Jury members include: Ambi Parameswaran, Advisor, FCB Ulka Advertising; Harit Nagpal, CEO, Tata Sky; Hemant Bakshi, Executive Director, Home & Personal Care, HUL; Piyush Mathur, President, Nielsen India; Rakshit Hargave MD Nivea India; and Shashi Sinha, CEO, IPG Media Brands India.
The esteemed jury members share their views on the exclusive list and the importance of such an initiative.
Sam Balsara: “As everybody knows, women power is very big in advertising, media and marketing industry. There are 500 influential women in our industry, so to cut out 50 of them has been the difficult task.”
Hemant Bakshi: “It’s a fantastic property and more importantly, it’s an extremely difficult choice to make as there are so many highly talented women in this country and we had a really difficult time arriving at the Top 50. As you look at it, the number of women entering this list of the first time is quite large and that actually is extremely positive, because it just shows that the influence of women in the industry is going up rapidly.”
Ambi Parmeswaran: “The IMPACT list of 50 Most Influential Women in Marketing, Advertising and Media is a great idea and a great property, all the more important and timely. This year, the Jury deliberations were active and fairly exciting and finally we arrived at a list which is a great mix of some very experienced women and young people making an impact in the world of Marketing, Advertising and Media. We have got a great mix of some really talented women.”
IMPACT’s special edition of Top 50 most Influential Women in Media, Marketing and Advertising is a step to acknowledge the achievements of women who give a whole new meaning to the words – power and influence. These are women whose contributions have had significant impact on the industry and their peer group and completely changed the way the industry is perceived today. These women are a source of inspiration to countless others who aspire to emulate their qualities.
