Omnicom Advertising India has said that Ulka and parts of Mudra will be operating under the BBDO Group.

An Omnicom Advertising India Spokesperson clarified exclusively to IMPACT, “The BBDO Group will comprise BBDO India, Ulka and parts of Mudra. While it is true that based on client considerations & continuity some parts of FCB and DDB will be moved into McCann and BBDO Group, however, there will be a multi-market team servicing Volkswagen known as Bernbach, in recognition of DDB founder Bill Bernbach’s relationship with the car marque. As stated earlier, leadership announcements will be made when ready for release.”

Earlier this week it was reported that to reduce redundancy and streamline its global operations, Omnicom Group was set to retire several agency brands following Interpublic Group’s $13.5 billion acquisition.

According to sources familiar with the merged group’s restructuring blueprint, the upcoming Omnicom-led cuts and brand closures will primarily target business units where Omnicom and IPG services overlap — particularly in creative, media buying, production, and operational support. The intent is to remove duplication, unify platforms and systems, and create a leaner structure that can scale globally without carrying the legacy cost burden of two parallel networks.

Omnicom Group has already announced that it will be dismantling legacy brands DDB, FCB and MullenLowe following the acquisition of IPG. These brands will no more operate as independent global networks. Under the new structure, there will be three standalone creative networks: BBDO, McCann and TBWA.

As part of the announcement, the group has said: "Leadership continuity remains central to the integration strategy. John Wren continues as Chairman and CEO, Phil Angelastro as EVP & CFO, while Philippe Krakowsky and Daryl Simm take charge as Co-Presidents and COOs. Krakowsky, Patrick Moore, and E. Lee Wyatt Jr. have joined the Omnicom Board of Directors, and the full leadership structure for the merged organisation will be unveiled on December 1, 2025."
