BARC Week 38: Amazon.in pushes past Lalitha Jewellery by a huge margin to lead Top 10 Brands
Amazon.in bounced back to make the most of this festive period while Flipkart managed to climb to the no.3 spot

The tussle of e-commerce giants Amazon.in and Flipkart continues into week 38 (September 16–22) as per BARC ratings. Amazon.in led the Top 10 brands list with 35,601 insertions pushing past Lalitha Jewellery with its 18,531 insertions and Flipkart with its 18,116 insertions, respectively.
It seems that Flipkart’s Big Billion Days sale is paying off dividends as the e-commerce player climbed to an impressive third spot from its seventh spot last week. Amazon.in, on the other hand, had been promoting Amazon India’s Great Indian Festival aggressively on various platforms.
Meanwhile, Lalitha Jewellery slipped from its no.1 spot to the second spot with 18,531 insertions.
Vivo V7 Plus, Dove Cream Bathing Bar and Close Up Ever Fresh climbed to the fourth, fifth and sixth spot with 11,936, 9,319 and 9,155 insertions, respectively.
Reliance Trends, Videocon D2H, Pears and Lux Toilet Soap entered the list at seventh, eighth, ninth and tenth spots with 8,383, 8,087, 7,926 and 7,589 insertions, respectively.
Meanwhile in the Top 10 Advertisers list, Hindustan Lever and Reckitt Benckiser (India) retained the top two spots with 1,50,396 and 61,093 insertions, respectively.
Amazon Online India climbed up to an impressive third spot (from its ninth spot last week) with 37,410 insertions.
Cadburys India, Procter & Gamble and Brooke Bond Lipton slipped to the fourth, fifth and sixth spot with 27,899, 26,812 and 22,164 insertions, respectively.
Lalitha Jewellery climbed up to the seventh spot with 18,531 insertions.
ITC slipped to the ninth spot with 17,255 insertions.
Flipkart and Godrej Consumer Products entered the list at the eighth and tenth spot with 18,116 and 16,946 insertions, respectively.
