BARC Week 35: Amazon.in leads Top 10 brands
Meanwhile, OTT service Amazon Prime India forayed into the category at eighth spot
In the BARC Top 10 Brands for Week 35 (August 25-31) Amazon.in led the category with 16,215 insertions. Santoor Sandal and Turmeric slipped to the second position with 15,870 insertions. Lizol moved up to the third spot with 12,453 insertions.
Dominos Everyday Value, Horlicks, and Honda Cliq entered the category in the fourth, fifth and sixth spots with 11,574, 10,705 and 10,096 insertions respectively.
Trivago retained its seventh spot with 10,004 insertions. Amazon Prime Video also made an entry in the eighth position with 9,439 insertions, while Lalitha Jewellery retained its ninth position with 9,366 insertions. Airtel is another brand which entered the category at the tenth spot with 9,050 insertions.
In the same week, in BARC Top 10 Advertisers, FMCG brands Hindustan Lever and Reckitt Benckiser continued to reign with 1,55,585 and 71,195 insertions respectively. Wipro climbed up to the third spot with 30,132 insertions, while ITC Ltd slipped to fourth position with 30,039 insertions.
After a brief hiatus Amazon Online India, entered the list at the fifth spot with 27,811 insertions. Procter & Gamble retained its sixth spot with 24,733 insertions. SBS Biotech climbed to the seventh spot with 23,216 insertions.
Brooke Bond Lipton India maintained its eighth position with 22,280 insertions. Smithkline Beecham forayed into the category in the ninth spot with 20,670 insertions. Cadburys India slipped to the tenth spot with 19,640 insertions.
