BBDO's Chairman and CEO, Josy Paul has been inducted into the Advertising Club Calcutta's Hall of Fame, according to reports. At a ceremony held on February 8th at the Calcutta Rowing Club, Paul was recognised for his tremendous contribution to the advertising industry. The event witnessed the attendance of leaders from the advertising, marketing and media industries, as well as stalwarts from Bengali theatre and cinema.

On accepting the honour, Paul said, "I was fortunate to find my calling early in my working life. I stumbled up a message I wrote to myself in my diary when I was at St Xavier’s College. I wrote, “My mission is to create an environment so fertile that even if you were to sow a seed of doubt it would flower into something beautiful.” When I discovered this in the attic of my parent’s place, I knew I had found my purpose. It helped me through ups and downs. That, and the commonwealth of mentors and partners that I was fortunate to work with. Thank you Advertising Club Calcutta for recognizing this. You encourage us all to believe in something".

Paul joins an illustrious list of honourees including Alyque Padamsee, AG Krishnamurthy, Piyush Pandey and Prasoon Joshi.

Before joining BBDO India, Josy Pal worked with JWT as National Creative Director. He also co-founded the agency RMG David in 2000.
