The week from October 9–13 started with a spotlight on the increasing usage of ad blocking software and what this means for the industry especially with Google and Apple entering the space. While on one hand, cola giant PepsiCo appointed a new India CEO after D Shivakumar’s resignation, on the other hand, Dr. A Velumani of Thyrocare urged brands to “romance with risk” at the recently held exchange4media-BW Applause Conclave & Awards 2017. Mid-week saw the unveiling of exchange4media's annual Mobile Ad Spends report, which was released on Wednesday on the sidelines of Maddies'17. The week concluded with an announcement that CVL Srinivas, CEO (South Asia) of GroupM, would receive the exchange4media Influencer Award 2017.
