Serena Menon has joined Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios as Head of Communications for Asia-Pacific (APAC), where she will lead communications across India, Japan, and Southeast Asia.
Announcing the appointment on LinkedIn, Menon shared, "Excited to share that I've joined Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios as Head of Communications for APAC."
In her new role, Menon will lead the communications teams across India, Japan, and Southeast Asia, driving strategic communications for the brand, its content portfolio, and the storytelling that supports its productions.
Menon joins the company after a seven-year stint at Netflix, where she held several leadership positions across communications and content. Most recently, she served as Director, Public Relations, India, leading the company's India PR strategy, enhancing brand reputation, and driving earned media engagement through campaigns for both local and international content.
Before that, she was Director, Photo & AV Studio, Asia-Pacific, overseeing teams across India, Japan, South Korea, Australia-New Zealand, Taiwan, Indonesia, Thailand, and the Philippines. Prior to entering the entertainment streaming industry, Menon built an accomplished career in journalism and publishing.
With extensive experience spanning journalism, editorial leadership, content strategy, and corporate communications, Menon brings a strong blend of storytelling expertise and strategic communications leadership to her new role at Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios.
