  • Titan Company Limited has appointed Sandhya Venugopal Sharma, IAS, as Chairperson and Additional Director on its Board, effective January 4, 2026.
  • The appointment was approved by the Board through a Circular Resolution on December 29, 2025, following a nomination from the Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation Limited (TIDCO).
  • Sharma, a 1995-batch IAS officer, has extensive experience in public administration and has held significant roles in various sectors, including education and finance.
  • She is not related to any current Directors or Key Managerial Personnel of Titan Company and is not barred from holding directorships by any regulatory authority.

Titan Company Limited has announced the appointment of Sandhya Venugopal Sharma, IAS as the Chairperson and Additional Director on its Board, following a nomination received from the Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation Limited (TIDCO), a co-promoter of the Company.

The appointment was approved by the Board through a Circular Resolution dated December 29, 2025, passed with the requisite majority, and will take effect from January 4, 2026, as disclosed in the Company’s regulatory filings.

Sharma will assume the role of Chairperson in place of c, IAS, who will continue to serve as a Director on the Board. She has been appointed as a Non-Executive, Non-Independent Additional Director, liable to retire by rotation.

A 1995-batch IAS officer of the Tamil Nadu cadre, Sharma brings experience across public administration, industrial development, education, finance, and science administration. Prior to her current role at TIDCO, she served on central deputation with the Department of Space, where she held the positions of Joint Secretary and later Additional Secretary in Bengaluru from April 2019 to October 2025, contributing to key national space and science initiatives.

Earlier in her career, she anchored the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan as State Project Director during her deputation to the Government of Karnataka, overseeing a large-scale education programme funded by the Central and State Governments along with the World Bank, DFID, and UNICEF. Her career also includes senior roles in the Tamil Nadu government such as Commissioner (Archives and Historical Research), assignments in departments including Commercial Taxes, Education, and the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission, as well as district-level postings in Chengalpattu and Tindivanam.

The Company confirmed that Sharma is not related to any Director, Key Managerial Personnel, or Promoters of Titan Company and is not debarred from accessing capital markets or holding directorships in listed companies by SEBI or any other authority.
