Nazara Technologies has appointed Raymond A. Stauffer as its Chief Executive Officer, with founder Nitish Mittersain continuing as Managing Director as the company reshapes its leadership for the next phase of growth.
The news has been shared by Stauffer in a LinkedIn post. Announcing the development, Stauffer said he was "very excited" to take on the new role at "the first and only publicly listed gaming company in India."
"Over the years, Nazara has built a remarkable group of businesses and entrepreneurs across the gaming industry," he wrote, adding that after Bluetile and Bestplay became part of the Nazara Group, he had the opportunity to work closely with its founders and teams.
"I've been incredibly impressed by the talent, ambition and energy across the organisation," Stauffer said.
Expressing gratitude to the company's leadership, he added, "I'm deeply grateful to Nitish Mittersain, who will continue as Nazara's MD, as well as to the Board and Nazara's investors, for their trust and for this opportunity."
Looking ahead, Stauffer said he was "eager to work alongside these exceptional teams as we take Nazara to the next level and build one of the world's leading gaming groups," adding, "Excited for what lies ahead!"
Stauffer joined Nazara after Bluetile and Bestplay became part of the gaming group's portfolio. Before this, he co-founded Barcelona-based Bluetile and has also been associated with digital entertainment venture Share Hive. Earlier in his career, he spent over four years at Google, where he held multiple leadership roles across the Trust & Safety organisation, including Trust & Safety Team Lead, overseeing teams focused on protecting Google Search users and improving search quality.
The leadership transition comes as Nazara continues to strengthen its portfolio across gaming, esports and interactive entertainment while pursuing its next phase of global expansion under the combined leadership of CEO Raymond A. Stauffer and Managing Director Nitish Mittersain.
