Madhur Deora to step down from Paytm Board, retains role as President & Group CFO

Madhur Deora, who currently serves as President and Group CFO at Paytm, will step down from his director and executive director roles after the upcoming Annual General Meeting, according to a regulatory filing by the company. However, Deora will continue to lead Paytm in his current capacity.
Deora joined Paytm in 2016, bringing with him 17 years of experience in Citi Investment Banking, where he worked across New York, London and Mumbai. He played a crucial role in leading discussions that secured funding for Paytm from Ant Financial and Alibaba in 2015.
In other leadership changes, Bimla Julka, the non-executive independent director, has also decided to step down. Meanwhile, Urvashi Sahai has been appointed as an additional director for a five-year term.
