- In his new role, Khanna aims to enhance business growth by integrating rights, partnerships, innovation, and digital strategies within JioStar Sports.
- Prior to this position, he served as Head of Sports & Live Experience Production Technology & Services and was a Production Contract Manager at the ICC.
Prashant Khanna has been elevated to the position of Head-Sports: Rights, Innovation and Cricinfo Business. The news has been shared by Khanna in a LinkedIn post.
“After nearly nine years across Star, Disney Star and now JioStar, I'm excited to be taking on a new role across Rights & Innovation for Sports, along with the Cricinfo Business,” he posted.
“Over the years, I've had the opportunity to work across production, technology and innovation, helping build capabilities behind some incredible sporting moments. This role is an opportunity to build on those experiences from a broader business perspective, bringing together rights, partnerships, innovation and digital to help shape the next phase of growth for JioStar Sports. The sports industry is evolving rapidly, creating new opportunities for broadcasters, rights holders and technology to work more closely than ever before. I'm looking forward to working with our teams, partners, leagues and governing bodies to build stronger partnerships, unlock new opportunities and create long-term value across the sports ecosystem,” Khanna mentione din his post.
Khanna was earlier the Head-Sports & Live Experience Production Technology & Services.
He has been with JioStar since November 2024.
Before that, he was with the ICC as Production Contract Manager.
