Disney Star elevates Amrutha Nair as Head Ad Sales – Hindi & English Entertainment
The new role will be in addition to Nair's current responsibility of managing Product & Revenue Strategy for the regional business
Disney Star India has elevated Amrutha Nair to the role of Head Ad Sales – Hindi & English Entertainment. She will take on the new role from Arghya Chakravarty who has moved on to pursue other opportunities.
The new role will be in addition to her current responsibility where she is managing Product & Revenue Strategy for the regional business. Nair's elevation was announced by Disney Star India Country Manager and President K Madhavan in an internal communication to employees.
"I am writing to let you know that after almost five years with the organization, Arghya Chakravarty has moved on to pursue an opportunity outside the organization," Madhavan said. He further stated that Arghya was instrumental in delivering the highest ever pricing across all genres, bringing about a significant transformation in the Go-To-Market strategy.
"In line with our focus on internal talent mobility, I am pleased to announce that Amrutha Nair, will take on the role of Head Ad Sales – Hindi & English Entertainment in addition to her current responsibilities in Regional sales," he added.
Nair started her career with Asianet Communications following which she joined TV Today Network to handle their ad sales for Southern markets. She also had a two-year stint with Discovery Networks Asia Pacific as Director - Ad Sales from 2014-16. She re-joined Star in 2016 as the Product & Revenue Head for the English Cluster following which she moved to the regional business in April 2017.
She played a key role in the growth of the regional portfolio by building synergies between the business functions and the revenue function, Madhavan noted.
