UTV Action brings second season of Panja League
The action channel of UTV is expecting more participants from different media and creative agencies to participate in its arm-wrestling contest this year
Leading media agencies of the country are all set to participate in the second edition of UTV Action Panja League. The action channel of UTV is expecting more participants from different media and creative agencies to participate in its arm-wrestling contest.
“The idea behind the event is to bring the media and advertising industry together on one platform in an action-packed on-ground event. While the USP of the channel is action, we wanted to plan an on-ground event where the industry can participate,” said Kunal Mukherjee, Marketing Head, UTV Action.
The month-long league will start on March 14, majorly in the cities of Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore. The first season, held last year, saw over 22 agencies participate and lasted for 30 days.
Mukherjee informs that taking forward the successful format of the first season; this season will involve participants within the same agency first competing with each other and winners of the same will then compete with other agencies. This contest will be conducted as per global standards of arm wrestling.
The agencies participating this year include Madison, Carat and R K Swamy from Mumbai. Some more prominent names will be added to the list soon. Each agency will have one male and one female winner who will be awarded the ‘Jabra Wave’. These winners will then go on to participate in the gala finale to be held in their respective cities. The league will culminate with the declaration of one male and one female winner.
