TV Today Network has shifted its distribution mandate from Sony Pictures Networks India (SPNI) to Star India.

In a public notice, TV Today has reportedly announced that from November 1 Star India will be the exclusive distribution agent of its channels India Today TV, Aaj Tak, and Tez.

The agreement with TV Today will allow Star to add news channels to its distribution bouquet. According to foreign ownership rules, Star cannot directly enter the broadcasting space.

It is being said that Star is currently in the process of uploading the RIO for TV Today Network channels. So the current rates of TV Today Network channels will continue to be effective.
