Star Plus narrows gap with Sony Max in IPL Week 5

As per TAM data for CS 4+, HSM markets, Star Plus clocked 223 GRPs compared to Sony Max’s 224 GRPs in the fifth week of the IPL season

Star Plus narrows gap with Sony Max in IPL Week 5

The TAM ratings for Week 18 (April 28 – May 4) of 2013 show Star Plus gaining ground. The channel is just one point behind leader Sony Max in Week 5 of Indian Premier League (IPL) Season 6.

According to viewership data for CS 4+, HSM markets, Sony Max lost 24 points, bringing its GRPs down to 224 as compared to 248 GRPs in Week 17. On the other hand, Star Plus added seven points, registering GRPs of 223 as compared to its last week’s GRPs of 215. It may be recalled that Max had clocked 314 GRPs in 2012 during IPL Week 5.

Zee TV clocked 175 GRPs, losing 16 points (last week 191). Sony Entertainment Television stood at 154 GRPs (last week 150 GRPs), adding four points. Colors recorded 166 GRPs (last week 165 GRPs), adding one point. SAB TV also added seven points, standing at 132 GRPs (last week 125 GRPs). Life OK recorded 102 GRPs this week (last week 101 GRPs).

Meanwhile, Star Plus’ newly launched show ‘India’s Dancing Superstar’ observed a great week emerging as the No. 1 non-fiction show with 2.5 TVR.
