Star India’s Parul Sharma resigns

After 14 long years with Star India, Parul Sharma, Head of Corporate and Marketing Communications, has decided to move on. She confirms: “I have decided to enter the next orbit of my professional as well as creative life. Being an incorrigible media junkie, you can count on me to be around -- I’m only leaving Star, but not communications.”

As the Head of Corporate Communication and spokesperson for Star TV Group in India, Sharma was responsible for developing the company’s communications strategies for the group’s 40 properties. “That leadership role with India’s largest media network taught me that there’s no alternative to innovative thinking to spur growth,” she says.

On her association with Star India, she remarks, “It has been a long, fruitful association with Star, a great learning curve. I worked with great talent in the country. Star has the best talent.”

“A rewarding career in broadcasting and media management has given me the rare privilege of interacting with opinion makers from politics, journalism, business, bureaucracy, academia, arts to entertainment. They’ll continue to be an intellectual asset and inspiration,” she adds.
