Announcing Kiran Mani’s exit from JioStar, Vice-Chairman Uday Shankar has said that the company is working out an organisational structure for its digital business.

“Kiran Mani has chosen to move on and relocate overseas for personal reasons. I wanted to take this opportunity to thank Kiran for the outstanding role he has played in building out our streaming business and the profound impact that his leadership has had on JioHotstar over the last few years. Kiran has played a significant role in shaping our strategic direction, strengthening our core platform and laying the foundations for our next phase of growth. With his ability to attract the right kind of talent and his efforts in building the team and establishing a capable leadership bench, the organization is well positioned to continue progressing on its priorities.”

Sharing the next strategy, Uday Shankar said: “We are working out the go-forward organizational structure for our digital business following Kiran's decision to move on and expect to share this with you in the ensuing weeks. Kiran will remain with JioStar until early-June and will help with the transition.”
