The Bombay High Court will now hear the matter on TRAI NTO 2.0 on January 30. The Indian Broadcasting Foundation (IBF) on January 13 had filed a writ petition against the regulatory body seeking a stay on the implementation of the new tariff order.
The Court had called both parties for the next hearing and interim relief on January 22, in which TRAI filed an affidavit in response to broadcasters' petitions.
On January 1, TRAI had issued the amendment to the NTO and had asked the broadcasters to come up with the new price list of channels by January 15.
