Upendra Rai appointed as Senior Advisor, Sahara India Group
This will be Rai's second stint with the group.

Sahara India Group has appointed Upendra Rai as Senior Advisor.
A statement issued by the group said, "Shri Upendra Rai is being engaged as Senior Advisor with full authority on any News, Editorial, Financials,Marketing & sales, overall administrative and HR aspects and allied activities of our Media Ventures."
The statement also mentioned that Shri Gautam Sarkar shall retain his position and will be reporting to Upendra Rai while Shri Sumit Roy will continue as the Guardian of the Media Business and Upendra Rai will be reporting to him.
It must be mentioned that this will be Rai's second stint with the group. Earlier he was associated with Sahara Group as CEO and Editor-in-Chief.
He has also served stints at Tehelka and other well known media houses.
