The News Broadcasters Federation (NBF) will hold its first meeting in Mumbai on October 21. The conference will be attended by top executives of India’s regional and national broadcasters.

In the meeting, the members will chart out common interests and objectives of the news broadcasters body. The top executives will  decide on the modalities and representation of the body and fix timelines so that NBF rolls ahead with full steam.

The meet today will bring regional and national broadcasters on one platform as NBF represents broadcasters from all languages and parts of the country. It is the first news federation in India that is not centered out of Delhi. More than 50 news channels have come together to form NBF. This is the first time in the history of Indian broadcasting that a group of regional and national broadcasters have come together to form a body that represents their combined interests and perspective on matters related to the news broadcasting industry.
