In today’s globalised world, it is the responsibility of our leaders to ensure and encourage more international exposure amongst the youth, as this is what will become the differentiating factor for the coming generation. This was the sentiment behind a felicitation meet held to honour the participants of the International Youth Cultural Festival, concluded recently in Italy. The Mayor of Mumbai, Shradha Jhadhav, handed over the honours for the initiative taken to nurture and enrich young minds from the cable and satellite industry in India.
The youth festival was a joint effort by Prime Connect, an independent television distribution platform, which is currently the exclusive distributor for the Times Television Network channels as well as independent broadcasters, and Ferriswheel, an event management firm based out of Mumbai, specialising in organising such exchange programmes.
Handing over the honours, Jadhav said, “I appreciate Prime Connect for its effort and assistance towards motivating the partners through a new approach involving the younger generation. I believe this new perspective and continued effort will be a source of inspiration for the rest of the industry, and would also inspire and empower a new generation of youth to act for a meaningful social change.”
Talking about the youth initiative, Yogesh Radhakrishnan, MD and CEO, MNDIL, said, “The Cultural Exchange programme is aimed at providing a platform to the brightest young minds in the industry to showcase their talent in the international arena. The initiative will also help in forging and reinforcing cultural ties of India with the rest of the world.”
Prime Connect is a brand of Media Network & Distribution (India) Ltd (MNDIL), a joint venture between Bennett, Coleman & Co Ltd (BCCL) and Yogesh Radhakrishnan. It is an independent distribution platform that organises and distributes channels in India through various platforms. Prime Connect is an exclusive distributor for the Times Group channels (Times Now, ET Now, Movies Now and Zoom), and has recently added M Tunes and Music Xpress to its bouquet. For more updates, be socially connected with us on
