Viewers of Doordarshan’s popular programme Decode were in for a surprise on Tuesday when senior television journalist Sudhir Chaudhary did not appear on the show. The episode was instead hosted by veteran news anchor Mimansa Malik.
The unexpected change prompted curiosity among regular viewers, with many taking to social media to ask why Chaudhary was absent and why Malik had stepped in to host the programme.
Malik later shared a post on social media saying she was honoured to have the opportunity to host Decode, but did not provide any details about Chaudhary’s absence.
Mimansa Malik is a familiar face in the television news industry, having spent nearly 24 years with Zee News. She later joined Bharat24, where she had a brief stint.
