Hearing in the Kantar case has been adjourned by the Delhi High Court till July 11, 2014 as the Government counsel was not available for the hearing today, March 6, 2014.
With this adjournment, the stay on the clauses of the TV rating agency guidelines regarding cross-media ownership will remain in effect and TAM will continue to function until a final judgement is given.
It may be recalled that in the hearing on February 12, 2014, the Delhi High Court had ordered a stay on the clauses related to cross-media ownership, which avoided the situation of a ratings blackout by keeping TAM functional.
Moreover, Kantar was given more time to fulfill the requirements of the other clauses of the TV rating agency guidelines.
