Fox News has been witnessing a surge in advertising revenue since advertisers, corporations, advocacy groups, and governments believe advertising on the network is an “effective way to reach or influence President Donald Trump and his administration”.

As reported in the Financial Times, advertisers are trying to reach “an audience of one”. This follows the US President mentioning that he is a regular consumer of news on the network.

Fox News has seen a spike in advertising revenues this year on the back of record audience numbers, the report says.

In an interview with the Financial Times, Fox Corp ad sales president Jeff Collins has been quoted as saying that “the president and a lot of the folks in his administration are watching the [Fox News] network”.

Trump has been known to be a regular viewer of Fox News.

The advertisers have reportedly committed to billions ahead of last year, the report said.

Trump has recently announced that 30 per cent tariffs on imports from the European Union and Mexico is set to take effect on August 1, 2025.

The Trump administration has said these measures will address trade deficits or issues like immigration and drug trafficking.

India and the US are amid discussions for an interim trade deal ahead of the August 1 tariff deadline. India’s commerce officials are in talks in Washington.
