BARC Week 41: Zee Kannada, Asianet, Star Maa & Sun TV bag top slots in respective regions
Sun TV retains second position nationally among top 10 channels with 981 million impressions

Data released by Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) India for week 41 for across genres shows that Sun TV has retained its second position among top 10 channels on all platforms with 981 million impressions.
While Star Maa has bagged the third spot with 756 million impressions, Star Vijay stands eighth with 548 million impressions.
Zee Kannada, Asianet, Star Maa and Sun TV have all retained their positions in their respective markets.
Zee Kannada has held the first position in the Kannada GEC Category with 433 million impressions. Colors Kannada is second with 311 million impressions, followed by Udaya TV with 200 million impressions. Star Suvarna has bagged the fourth spot with 167 million impressions, followed by Udaya Movies with 160 million impressions.
In the programme category, Colors Kannada’s Mangala Gowri Maduve has bagged the first spot with 5 million impressions.
In Week 41, Asianet has bagged the first spot in Malayalam with 275 million impressions. Mazhavil Manorama, which was in the third spot in week 40, has clinched the second spot with 94 million impressions. Flowers TV which was in the second spot last week bagged the third spot with 78 million impressions followed by Surya TV with 57 million impressions. Zee Keralam stands fifth with 54 million impressions. In the programme category, Malayalam feature film ‘Thanner Mathan Dinangal’, which was telecast in Asianet, has bagged the first spot with 4 million impressions.
Market leader Sun TV is on top with 905 million impressions in the Tamil GEC category. Star Vijay has bagged the second spot with 521 million impressions followed by 415 million impressions. KTV bagged the fourth spot with 266 Million impressions followed by Star Vijay Super with 126 million impressions. In the programme category, Sun TV has bagged all five spots with Tamil feature film ‘Theri’ which was telecast on Sun TV with 9 million impressions.
In the Telugu GEC category, Star Maa bagged the first spot with 714 million impressions followed by ETV Telugu bagging the second spot 438 million impressions. Gemini TV, which was in the fourth spot last week, climbed one position up bagging the third spot with 400 million impressions. Zee Telugu bagged the fourth spot with 383 million impressions followed by Star Maa with 223 million impressions.
