BARC Week 3: Zee Anmol retains pole position in Hindi GEC market

In the top five programme category, Colors ‘Naagin-3’ bagged the first spot in the Top 5 Programmes overall with 13.6 million impressions

Zee Anmol continued to lead the overall market with 757 million impressions. Zee TV climbed up to the second spot with 665 million impressions while STAR Bharat rose to the third spot with 614 million impressions, according to Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) India Week 3 (January 12-18,2019) data.

In the top-five programme category, Colors ‘Naagin-3’ bagged the first spot in the Top 5 Programmes overall with 13.6 million impressions. Colors’ new show ‘Fear Factor Khatron Ke Khiladi Jigar Pe Trigger’ which entered the category at the second spot last week retained its position with 13.5 million impressions. Zee Anmol’s ‘Kundali Bhagya’ climbed to the third spot with 13.2 million impressions, while ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ dropped to the fourth spot with 11.7 million impressions. STAR Bharat’s Radhakrishn grabbed the fifth spot with 10.9 million impressions. 

Urban Market

Sony Entertainment Television retained its lead in the urban market with 429 million impressions. Star Plus held onto its second spot with 426 million impressions. Zee TV displaced Colors and climbed to the third spot with 414 million impressions. Colors slipped to the fourth spot with 404 million impressions. Star Bharat maintained its fifth spot with 309 million impressions.

Colors’ new show ‘Fear Factor Khatron Ke Khiladi Jigar Pe Trigger’ led the Top Five Programmes with 9.6 million impressions. It was followed by Colors’ Naagin-3 with 8.8 million impressions. Sony Entertainment Television’s ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ slipped to the third spot with 7.6 million impressions. The show ‘Super Dancer Chapter 3 Audition’ retained its fourth spot with 7.05 million impressions. STAR Plus' 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai' took the fifth spot with 6.6 million impressions. 

Rural Market

Zee Anmol too continued to lead the rural market with 613 million impressions. Star Utsav retained its second spot with 398 million impressions. Dangal TV retained its third spot with 378 million impressions. Sony Pal toppled Rishtey emerging at the fourth spot with 358.7 million impressions, while Rishtey at fifth position had 358 million impressions.

 Zee Anmol’s ‘Kundali Bhagya’ and ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ led the Top Five Programmes in this market with 10.8 million and 9.7 million impressions respectively. Both Zee Anmol’s ‘Mahek’  Dangal TV’s ‘Ramayan’ retained their third and fourth spots with 8.1 million and 7.9 million impressions. Zee Anmol’s ‘Ek Main Aur Ek Tu’ remained at the fifth spot with 6.8 million impressions.
