Back on Free Dish, Star Utsav replaces Dangal as most watched Hindi GEC in overall market

BARC Week 24: Star Plus continues to be on top in Hindi GEC Urban market and Dangal rules rural mark

Star Utsav replaced Dangal as the number one channel in Hindi GEC overall market (urban+rural) across all platforms (pay+Free) in the BARC Week 24 data. The channel went live back on DD Free Dish on June 9. Star Utsav owned by Star India registered 855595 (000s) impressions followed by Dangal on second spot with 818263 (000s) impressions and Star Plus on third spot with 744313 (000s) impressions. Sony Sab and Colors Rishety bagged fourth and fifth spot with 688491 (000s) impressions and 617276 (000s) impressions, respectively. 
In the top programme list of this week, DD National’s Shri Krishna became the most watched show. The show registered 13105 (000s) impressions followed by Star Plus’ Mahabharat on second spot with 9236 (000s) impressions and Dangal’s Mahima Shanidev Ki on third spot with 9075 impressions.  Ramayan and Jyoti on Dangal bagged fourth and fifth spot with 7666 and 7294 impressions, respectively. 
Hindi GEC Urban 
Star Plus continued to be the most watched channel in Week 24 in Hindi GEC Urban market. The channel registered 510675 (000s) impressions followed by Sony SAB on second spot with 454980  (000s) impressions and Star Utsav on third with 343510 (000s) impressions. Colors  and Sony Entertainment Television stood at number four and five with 273090 (000s) and 242436 (000s) impressions. 
In top five programmes, DD National’s Shri Krishna bagged first spot with 7138 (000s) impressions followed by Star Plus’ Mahabharat on second spot with 6087 (000s) impressions and Ramayan on third spot with 4580 impressions. Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai on Star Utsav bagged fourth spot with 3371 impressions. DD Bharati’s Vishnu Puran bagged fifth spot with 3222 impressions. 

Hindi GEC Rural 
Dangal continued to lead the rural market with 606206 (000s) impressions followed by Star Utsav on second spot with 512085 (000s) impressions and Colors Rishtey on third spot with 454414 (000s) impressions. Sony Pal and Zee Anmol bagged fourth and fifth spot with  359714 (000s) and 333385 (000s) impressions. 
In top five programmes, Dangal’s Mahima Shanidev ranked number one with 6927 (000s) followed by Ramayan on the same channel with 6023 (000s) impressions and Shri Krihsna on DD National stood at spot three with 5968 (000s) impressions. Dangal’s Jyoti bagged fourth spot with 5569 (000s) impressions and  Rakt Sambandh bagged fifth spot with 5090 (000s) impressions.
