Anurradha Prasad takes over the mantle of AROI Presidentship from Apurva Purohit
Anurradha Prasad, Managing Director, BAG Films, has been elected unopposed as President of Association of Radio Operators for India (AROI). Prasad rakes over from Apurva Purohit, CEO, Radio City, who has completed her two-year term as AROI President.

Uday Chawla, Secretary General, AROI, has confirmed this development to exchange4media, and said, “Anurradha Prasad has been elected unopposed as the AROI President.”
When contacted, Prasad highlighted her priorities for the radio industry as President AROI and said, “My priority will be to ensure a level playing field for every operator, ensuring better working relation and understanding and taking this journey forward. Radio is a robust industry, which needs a great leap forward, hence we must ensure we are able to achieve a leap forward.”
Meanwhile, Purohit said, “In the last two years, AROI has worked on several initiatives within the industry as well as with the Government to ensure the growth and success of the medium. I am sure Ms Prasad will help take AROI and the FM industry to greater heights.”
AROI was founded in the year 2007 on the advice of the Government so that an elected body of members will represent common views to the Government. Rajiv Mishra, COO & President, Cinemaya Media, was the first AROI President.
