Saraswati Patra to launch Delhi, Sonepat editions

Vats Group is all set to launch two new editions of Saraswati Patra, its educational newspaper, in New Delhi and Sonepat next month. The paper is already published from Bhiwani in Haryana, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand and Bihar. The paper was launched two years back and claims to have a circulation of more than 50,000.

The 12-paged Saraswati Patra is distributed free of cost and also has an online edition.

Speaking to exchange4media, Deepak Kumar Vats, Chief Editor and Publisher, Vats Group, said, “We are getting very good response from other states and we believe the paper will do very well in Delhi and Sonepat as well.”

Saraswati Patra focuses on educational content and also highlights the views of students and teachers. The paper carries the happenings in all the colleges, information regarding admission process, the courses being offered and more.

Commenting on the paper’s USP, Vats said, “This is a very different product, which attracts all age groups and furthers the cause of education. We believe the paper is beneficial for all as we carry all aspects related to education.”

Speaking on the promotion strategy, he added, “We are distributing this paper free of cost and it’s a door to door service. More than 45 societies have given us permission to distribute the paper. We are in talks with more societies for the paper’s distribution. In the initial stage we plan to circulate 20,000 copies in New Delhi and 8,000 copies in Sonepat.”

The group was targeting both national and local advertisers, but local advertisers were preferred as they played a key role in generating revenues, Vats said.
