NaiDunia re-launches with Jagran brand name in Delhi
The idea is to support Dainik Jagran in Delhi and not to compete with the paper, shares Shravan Garg, Chief Editor, NaiDunia
NaiDunia, the Hindi daily that was acquired by the Jagran Group in April 2012, has been re-launched in the National Capital featuring enhanced content with the Jagran brand name.
Speaking on the re-launch to exchange4media, Shravan Garg, Chief Editor, NaiDunia maintained that the paper “was never stopped, but suspended for a period of time”. He added, “The Jagran Group was preparing to re-launch the daily and we came up with a more enhanced newspaper.”
Garg further said, “The idea is to support Dainik Jagran in Delhi and not to compete with the paper. NaiDunia will contain news in a different style and will have its own content.”
The 14-page newspaper has different sections that will carry local and national news. NaiDunia’s Delhi edition has a cover price of Rs 3.
Meanwhile, in a bid to target the readers in Delhi who belong to other states, the paper will also carry news related to states such as Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, and Gujarat.
The Jagran Group has come out with several advertisements to announce the re-launch of NaiDunia in Dainik Jagran and other newspapers.
Currently, NaiDunia is on the stands without any ads, but plans are in the pipeline to target advertisers from different verticals. For more updates, be socially connected with us on
