Ei Samay has launched its North Bengal Edition, a notable event since it’s been 22 years since a new newspaper was introduced in this region. The first edition was circulated on Sunday, December 1, 2024.
Ei Samay’s print edition will cover the entire expanse of North Bengal, including Darjeeling, Jalpaiguri, Cooch Behar, Alipurduar, Dinajpur, and Maldah, with a special focus on regional issues.
"Our mission is to foster a sense of unity by bridging North Bengal and the rest of Bengal - integrating voices, concerns, and aspirations as one Bengal.
Additionally, we are launching a dedicated North Bengal section on Ei Samay Online, ensuring comprehensive coverage that will also be amplified across our social media platforms. Ei Samay has aimed for a seamless collaboration, alignment of goals, and effective communication between Editorial, Digital, Sales, Circulation, Finance, Brand, HR and other important departments to stay aligned with organizational goals and evolving industry trends," said Advocate Sanjay Basu, who along with an industrialist Anurag Choudhary, had bought the Bangla publication from the Times Group in May this year.
"The organisation has hired professionals, introduced a structured approach towards operations and curated a team of specialist editors and designers to ensure efficient coverage of hyperlocal news. Looking ahead, we are steadfast in our efforts to deliver growth, stability, and profitability, ensuring the best outcomes. This reaffirms our unwavering dedication to Ei Samay's bright and promising future," Adv Basu added.
