Three new financial dailies are expected to be launched over the next three to four months, media networks have reported.
Express Publications (Madurai), which owns The New Indian Express, is planning to launch a new national business newspaper by the end of October. Tamil media group Kumudam is also preparing to launch a Chennai-based business daily in Tamil and English, while Dinamalar is planning a Tamil business daily by the end of the year.
Express Publications is working on a new business newspaper that is expected to be launched by the end of October. The paper will be positioned as a national financial daily, making it the sixth national financial daily in India, according to the report.
As per a report, the editorial team will be led by Ranganathan, currently editor of The New Indian Express for Tamil Nadu, who will take charge as editor of the new business daily in Kochi.
Meanwhile, Kumudam is planning to launch a Chennai-based business daily in Tamil and English by mid-September.
Dinamalar is also preparing to enter the business newspaper segment with a Tamil-language daily, which it plans to launch by the end of the year.
