  • Flipkart is experiencing two senior leadership departures, with Gunjan Bhartia and Amer Hussain stepping down from their respective roles in business finance and supply chain for Grocery and Minutes.
  • Bhartia joined Flipkart in December 2022, while Hussain started a month later.
  • These changes are part of a broader trend of senior-level shifts within the Flipkart group, including the departure of Myntra CEO Nandita Sinha and Flipkart Group CFO Sriram Venkatraman.
  • The leadership transitions occur as Flipkart aims to enhance profitability and has delayed its initial public offering (IPO) plans.

Flipkart is set to see two senior leadership departures, with Gunjan Bhartia, senior vice president of business finance, and Amer Hussain, vice president of supply chain for Grocery and Minutes, set to step down from their roles, media networks have reported, quoting sources.

Bhartia joined Flipkart in December last year as senior vice president of business finance.

Hussain joined the company a month later as vice president of supply chain for Grocery and Minutes.

The departures come amid a series of senior-level changes across the Flipkart group in recent months.

Myntra CEO Nandita Sinha moved to Swiggy to lead Instamart, while Ankit Jain, another Flipkart veteran, joined the quick-commerce company as senior vice president of operations. Flipkart Group CFO Sriram Venkatraman has also stepped down.

The leadership changes come as Flipkart continues to focus on profitability. The company had earlier pushed back its plans for an initial public offering (IPO), according to previous media reports.
