Gautam Lahiri re-elected as President of Press Club of India

In the Press Club of India elections held on Sunday, senior journalist Gautam Lahiri was re-elected as President, with Neeraj Thakur securing the position of Secretary-General. 

The newly elected vice president is Sangeeta Barooah Pisharoty of The Wire, while Mohit Dubey from News Nation takes on the role of treasurer. Afzal Imam from Navbharat was chosen as joint secretary.

A total of 28 candidates competed for seats on the 16-member managing committee. Notably, Aditi Rajput from NDTV received the highest votes, securing 985, followed by Meghna Dhulia of The Times of India with 905. Other elected committee members include Surabhi Kanga, Pragya Singh, Nalini Ranjan Mohanty, Sunil Negi, and more, reflecting a diverse representation across media organizations.
