VIVO IPL 2018: BCCI announces third party rights for brands

The three types of rights will be: IPL Official Partner Rights, IPL Strategic Time Out Partner Rights, IPL Umpire Partner Rights

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has invited third parties to indicate their interest in acquiring rights pertaining to the VIVO Indian Premier League (IPL).

The three types of rights will be: IPL Official Partner Rights, IPL Strategic Time Out Partner Rights, IPL Umpire Partner Rights. The term for each partnering rights will be minimum three years and maximum five years.

BCCI intends to appoint up to a maximum of six Official Partners, one Strategic Timeout Partner and one Umpire Partner. Third parties may express an interest in acquiring the Rights in respect of more than one Product Category but no single third party will be appointed as an IPL Official Partner, IPL Strategic Timeout Partner or IPL Umpire Partner in respect of more than one Product Category.

The grant of the Rights shall be conditional upon the relevant third party entering into a binding agreement with BCCI, the form of which will be sent by BCCI to any relevant third party.

BCCI has set January 31, 2018 as the final date for third parties submitting EoIs. The time schedule is subject to revision by BCCI in its discretion.

IPL Official Partner Rights:

EXCLUSIVE ASSOCIATION


Designation: Positioned as the Official Partner.
Right to use the official IPL composite logo and official partner status in all communications.
Category exclusivity across all central sponsorships for VIVO IPL.
First Right of Refusal on Broadcast Sponsorship in Product Category.

TV FACING BRANDING APPLICATIONS (ACROSS ALL MATCHES)

LED Perimeter advertising boards.
Pitch Mat on the outfield at midwicket (size as per BCCI discretion).
Boundary Rope branding across all matches
Branding on all interview and press conference backdrops.
Logo featured on back panel of team dugouts.

MATCH DAY ACTIVATION

1 TV facing Match Day Activation (conceptualization in conjunction with BCCI).
3 m x 3 m trade stand place in concourse area of each stadium (subject to permissions from relevant bodies and in conjunction with IPL).

TICKETS AND HOSPITALITY

10 x VIP Hospitality tickets per match.
10 x General admission tickets per match.

PROMOTIONAL PHOTOGRAPHY & ARCHIVE FOOTAGE

25 still images per season.
3 minutes of archive footage per season.

OTHER BRANDING

Inclusion of partner logo in IPL led advertising.

DIGITAL

Logo featured on IPLT20 website.
Match day activation integration on IPLT20 website.


IPL Strategic Timeout Partner Rights:

EXCLUSIVE ASSOCIATION

Designation: Positioned as the Strategic Timeout Partner.
Right to use the official IPL composite logo and strategic timeout partner status in all communications.
Category exclusivity across all central sponsorships for VIVO IPL.
First Right of Refusal on Broadcast Sponsorship in Product Category.


TV FACING BRANDING APPLICATIONS (ACROSS ALL MATCHES)

Branded timing graphic on Big screen at each Strategic timeout.


MATCH DAY ACTIVATION

3 m x 3 m trade stand place in concourse area of each stadium (subject to permissions from relevant bodies and in conjunction with IPL).


TICKETS AND HOSPITALITY

6 x VIP Hospitality tickets per match.
10 x General admission tickets per match.


PROMOTIONAL PHOTOGRAPHY & ARCHIVE FOOTAGE

10 still images per season.

Designation: Positioned as the Umpire Partner.
Right to use the official IPL composite logo and umpire partner status in all communications.
Category exclusivity across all central sponsorships for VIVO IPL.
First Right of Refusal on Broadcast Sponsorship in Product Category.


TV FACING BRANDING APPLICATIONS (ACROSS ALL MATCHES)

Static logo branding on LED Sight screens (50% on each sight screen)
Branding on Big screen for 3rd Umpire Decisions and DRS Decisions.
Branding on all interview and press conference backdrops.
Logo featured on back panel of team dugouts.
Logo on Umpire shirts, trousers, hat/cap.
Logo on Match Referee shirts and jacket.

MATCH DAY ACTIVATION

Right to Fair Play Award
3 m x 3 m trade stand place in concourse area of each stadium (subject to permissions from relevant bodies and in conjunction with IPL).


TICKETS AND HOSPITALITY

10 x VIP Hospitality tickets per match.
10 x General admission tickets per match.
