- The account is expected to cover media planning, buying, and creative duties, indicating a significant investment as the company aims to localize its global innovations for India's renewable energy sector.
- Sigenergy's India operations are led by Abhilash Borana, and the pitch reflects the company's strategy to invest in brand and distribution amid increasing competition in the clean energy market.
In a move signalling its aggressive push into the Indian market, Sigenergy India has called for a consolidated media and creative pitch as it looks to build its brand and scale operations in the country, according to people familiar with the development.
This mandate comes shortly after the company’s India debut at RenewX 2026 in Chennai, where it unveiled its AI-driven energy management solutions spanning inverters, batteries, and gateways across Residential, C&I, and Utility segments.
Sources indicated that the pitch has attracted participation from some of the largest global and domestic agency networks, including WPP, Omnicom, Dentsu, Publicis Groupe and Madison World. The first round of presentations has already been completed, with agencies understood to be competing for a broad, integrated mandate. Agencies have been tightlipped about size of the account but claimed to be in higher double digits.
The account, industry executives said, is expected to cover media planning and buying, alongside creative duties—making it a full-service pitch. While the size of the business remains undisclosed, the involvement of top-tier networks suggests a sizeable investment as the company ramps up its India operations.
The mandate is likely to include brand building, integrated media strategy, digital transformation, and go-to-market execution across regions. The company is said to be evaluating agencies on their ability to deliver data-led insights, strong creative capabilities, and scalable execution across platforms.
The pitch aligns with Sigenergy’s broader strategy to localise its global innovation for India, one of the fastest-growing renewable energy markets. The company operates in over 60 countries and has been expanding rapidly in energy storage and smart energy management solutions.
Leading its India business is Abhilash Borana, who is driving the company’s efforts to establish a strong foothold in the market. The decision to initiate a pitch at this stage underscores the company’s intent to invest early in brand and distribution as competition intensifies in the clean energy ecosystem.
Industry experts note that such integrated reviews have become increasingly common as new-age and global entrants look to consolidate media and creative mandates under fewer partners to drive efficiency and consistency in messaging.
Neither the company nor the participating agencies have officially commented on the pitch. The process is expected to conclude in the coming weeks.
