The Pitch CMO Summit Chennai 2019, which will be held at The Taj Coromandel on Friday October 4, 2019, will take a look at how one-to-one marketing is evolving to the next level in creating an individualised experience for the consumer. An esteemed line-up of speakers will share their thoughts on the theme ‘Building A Personalized Connect.’

Kicking off the summit is a man who requires no introduction to anyone in the media & marketing space-- CVL Srinivas, Country Manager-India, WPP. Srinivas, popularly known as Srini, ensures that WPP companies deliver the right talent and resources to clients in India and identifies opportunities and partnerships that can add value to both WPP’s clients and WPP’s businesses.

While consumers are increasingly looking for personalized connect, what should brands do right so that it’s a win-win scenario for both?  Srinivas will share his thoughts on the topic, ‘Getting Personalization Right’.

Established in 1916 as a manufacturer and supplier of carbonated and non-carbonated drinks, Kalimark has built a strong connect with the people of Tamil Nadu and retained its share in the presence of major MNCs PepsiCo and The Coca-Cola Company. J Ramesh, Joint Managing Director, Kali Aerated Water Works, recounts the journey of the brand and the strong personal connect the brand and its products have with the ‘makkal’ (people) of the state.

Balaji Prakash, Sr. Vice President & Head of Sales & Marketing, at EID Parry, oversees the entire sales and marketing for India for their retail business, B2B and B2C. He is currently focussed on strengthening the B2B business and building Parry as a strong brand in the sweetener category. He will speak on the topic, ‘Is Personalization the only Future of Marketing?”

Ashwin Khasgiwala is Chief Operations Controller at Reliance Retail Limited, which is India’s largest retail company and is also a Director of Reliance Brands Limited. He has over 22 years of experience in Business Management, Finance & Information Technology in Retail, Telecom and Hydrocarbon sectors. He has held several senior positions in Reliance Group, including CFO of Reliance Retail. He takes keen interest in business process innovation especially in the areas of customer experience, big data analytics, mobility solutions and automation. Khasgiwala will share his insights on the topic, “Personalizing And Re-inventing The Retail Experience.”

Navaneeth L V, CEO, The Hindu Group, has over two decades of experience in the media industry across Publishing, Radio, Broadcasting and Media Agency verticals. From working with traditional brands with heritage and enviable lineage to setting up a new business with an entrepreneurial outlook and working with entertainment brands that established market leadership positions in a reasonably short span of time, he has hands-on experience and acquired expertise across the media sector.  One challenge for mass media is how to personalise their experience and Navaneet will speak on the topic, “Print– Taking The Personalized Route.”

The Valedictory Address will be delivered by Mathew Chandy, Managing Director, Duroflex. The core philosophy for the mattress company is keeping the consumer needs first, and in 2018, the company has realigned its products based on consumer needs. Duroflex’s four ranges of mattresses and pillows - Energise, Duropedic, Natural Living and Essential -are designed to meet varying customer needs giving consumers better clarity, breaking away from traditional category approach of product based on construction. The company also launched an orthopeadic range of mattresses – Duropedic. Chandy will speak on ‘The Power of Personalization’.
