Procter & Gamble Hygiene and Health Care has reduced its advertising and promotional spends to Rs 430.8 crore in the nine months ended March 31, 2025, from Rs 531.0 crore in the previous 12-month period ended June 30, 2024. This marks an 18.9% decline in ad investments.
The cut in advertising coincides with a moderation in topline performance. Revenue from operations stood at Rs 3,374.4 crore for the nine months under review, compared to Rs 4,205.7 crore in FY24, a 19.8% drop. Total income fell 19.6% to Rs 3,411.8 crore from Rs 4,257.9 crore a year earlier.
Profit for the nine-month period came in at Rs 636.6 crore, down 5.7% from Rs 675.0 crore recorded in the previous year.
On January 23, 2025, the company’s Board approved a change in its financial year cycle from July–June to April–March. Consequently, FY25 covers only a nine-month period from July 1, 2024, to March 31, 2025.
