Parle Agro clocks 18% increase in ad spends

Parle Agro has registered a 17.7% YoY increase in its advertising and promotional expenses from Rs 236.4 crore in FY23 to Rs 278.3 crore in FY24.
The firm earned Rs 3,126 crore from its revenue from operations in 2023-24, a drop of 12% from Rs 3,565.9 crore in the preceding fiscal year.
The company further reported a total profit before tax of Rs 15 crore during the same fiscal. This is an almost 90% decrease from the last financial year when the figure stood at Rs 173 crore.
The beverage maker’s total expenses for the fiscal were reported as Rs 3194 crore which were Rs 3479 crore last fiscal, marking a decrease of 8%.
The company’s bevy of brands include Frooti, Appy, Appy Fizz, BFizz, SMOODH, Bailley, Bailley Soda, Bombay 99.
