Keshav Bhajanka is known to have taken some of the trickiest aspects of his family's business, not only to mend them but to completely rethink their operations. His method is usually methodical — observe, comprehend, restructure, and then scale — and is rarely theatrical.

As he turns 37 today, his list of achievements is long and that’s because he doesn’t fear setting ambitious goals. Keshav, Executive Director at Century Ply leads with a calm intensity, being cautious but resolute, analytical but people-focused mindset. Every opportunity has been viewed as an opportunity to grow and lead, from managing extensive expansions and reviving divisions like laminates to doing sales visits in the sweltering heat of Howrah.

Whether it's implementing digital technologies like CRM and Salesforce for the entire organization or restructuring supply chains, he has brought structure to strategy. His largest wagers, however, have been on people. He views leadership as putting the appropriate people in the proper jobs, granting them autonomy, and creating an environment that values ownership rather than stealing the show.

If asked what success looks like to you, he’ll say, “It’s when I don't need to be in the room for things to run well.” And that is the distinction. He doesn’t make plans just for the upcoming quarter. He aims to build 2036.

On his birthday, the milestones and numbers are worth mentioning but the truth is: Keshav Bhajanka is building a structure steadily, purposefully, and silently. The kind of effort that will shape the company's culture, operations, and future growth for years to come, rather than merely appearing on a balance sheet.
