Shweta Solar Pvt. Ltd. (Shweta Solar) is all set to launch a new 1.2 GW solar module manufacturing facility in the National Capital Region (NCR). The plant is scheduled to commence commercial operations in January 2026. This state-of-the-art facility will position Shweta Solar as a technologically advanced and innovative solar manufacturer in India, reinforcing the nation’s commitment to a sustainable future.
The new facility is equipped with fully automated European and Asian machinery, enabling the production of next-generation solar modules, including high-efficiency TOPCon (Tunnel Oxide Passivated Contact) modules. These advanced modules are designed to achieve efficiency levels of over 22% with higher bifaciality, ensuring enhanced performance in low-light conditions and a longer lifespan. The company also has plans for future expansion to include HJT (Heterojunction) modules, which have the potential to reach over 24% efficiency, with superior performance in hot climates due to their lower temperature coefficient.
The 1.2 GW annual capacity of the plant is scalable for future expansion, and its products will comply with stringent global quality standards, including IEC and BIS certifications. The facility’s strategic location in Delhi NCR provides a significant logistical advantage for seamless distribution across India.
Sanjay Garg Director, Shweta Solar Pvt. Ltd said, "The upcoming launch of our new manufacturing plant is a significant step for Shweta Solar and a testament to our commitment to ‘Powering the Future’ of India's renewable energy landscape. We are confident that our high-quality, durable, and sustainable solar modules will empower EPC companies, developers, and end-consumers, playing a crucial role in helping India achieve its ambitious renewable energy targets."
