Sheel Saket joins ITSA gang as Executive Producer
Sheel Saket, erstwhile Vice-President, Euro RSCG India, Delhi has joined the newly formed innovation company, ITSA, as its Executive Producer
It’s hiring time at ITSA – the newly formed agency by Emmanuel Upputuru, Anirban Mozumdar and Daniel Upputuru, along with Concept’s Vivek Suchanti. Sheel Saket, erstwhile Vice-President, Euro RSCG India, Delhi, has joined the company as its Executive Producer.
Commenting on Saket’s appointment in an official release, Emmanuel Upputuru, Founder, ITSA, said, “I had worked with Sheel before. He belongs to a rare species. To begin with, he is not your regular account management guy. He actually is more creative than many people in the so-called creative departments in the agencies. And what I absolutely love about him is, ask him if something is possible, he will tell you ten different ways it can be done. ITSA’s core team is now complete – with human strategy, innovative ideas, award winning craft and implementation skills in this team.”
Delighted on joining the team, Saket said, “I am a great fan of Emmanuel’s integrated approach to work. I absolutely loved the “Me and Maggi”case study and his ‘Every trip has a purpose’ for Cleartrip has been an inspiration. When he shared the idea behind ITSA I just had to be part of it.”
Anirban Mozumdar, Chief Strategy Officer, ITSA also added, “As we begin to do our projects and sign on clients, Sheel’s resourcefulness and ability to deliver solutions is going to be an indispensable, must-have asset for us. We believe he will add great value to relationships and help us collaborate to execute and deliver our brand innovations and campaigns.”
Saket has almost 16 years of industry experience. A product of Amity Business School, he worked on the marketing side briefly before starting his agency career; he was with Denver-based telecom company Executive TeleCard for around a year and a half before starting his agency career with McCann Erickson Delhi as account manager in 1998. Saket spent 5 years at McCann Erickson mainly handling General Motors business besides others, before moving to JWT in 2004. After a couple of years, he joined Ogilvy India, where he got the opportunity to work on brands such as LG, Maruti, Dabur, Nestle, Schnieder, Oswal and WWF. After spending three years at Ogilvy, Saket moved to Euro RSCG, where he spent the past four years. At Euro, he managed several key accounts including Voltas, Volvo, Makemytrip, NewsX, Future Brands, Max New York Life, Quest Diagnostic, Government of Gabon and Cyberwalk, among others.
Of the clients he serviced at Euro, Saket mentions Max New York Life and Makemytrip as brands that are close to his heart. In fact, he was closely involved with the 'Offisial Atyachaar' campaign, a viral marketing effort for the online travel agency that aimed to encourage corporate professionals to stand up against 'Offisial Atyachaar' and opt for work-life balance.
For the record, ITSA is a one-month-old innovation company formed by Emmanuel Upputuru, Anirban Mozumdar and Daniel Upputuru along with Concept’s Vivek Suchanti with an ambition to create value for brands through innovation. Even in communication.
